He knocks one up in double quick time in the basement - and they prepare to take off. All is well - the fuse is lit - but Wallace has a nasty feeling that he has forgotten something. The crackers! What good is cheese without crackers? Sprinting to the cupboard, Wallace grabs a handful of Jacob's own and makes it back to the rocket just in time. The rocket is roaring - and when Gromit finally remembers to take the handbrake off, the rocket screams into space.
They land on the moon and walk around (gravity forgotten) Wallace cuts a bit off the moon - slaps it on a cracker and tastes it. Unable to identify what type of cheese it was - they move on. The pair discover a machine that to me looks like a cooker - and Wallace puts 10p in the coin slot. Like any other pay machine I have ever tried, it doesn't work - and Wallace smacks it one (I know how he feels) and walks away. Then the machine creaks into life, and looks around. Tidying up after Wallace, the machine discovers a skiing magazine and thinks to himself "I want some of that!"
He then discovers someone has vandalised the moon, somebody has cut a piece of it off! Disgusted, he glues it back on. He finds the rocket - and sees that it is leaking oil all over the place. He is getting pissed at Wallace now - and takes out a club to sort him out. He trundles over to Wallace and is just about to smack him one when he runs out of money and stops (lucky for Wallace) Wallace stands up and puts another 10p in the machine (sucker!)
Wallace and Gromit head back to the space ship. The machine realises that the rocket is going to earth, remembers that he wanted to go skiing and attacks the rocket with a can-opener. Once inside, he realises it is dark - so decides to light a match. Bad idea. There is an explosion and he is thrown out of the rocket - taking 2 strips of metal with him. The explosion caused the rocket to take off, leaving the poor machine behind. (At this point my little cousin started to cry).
But this machine has got brains. He looks at the hills of cheese on the moon. He looks at the strips of metal - and bends them in to skis. Cool! his very own ski slope!
Happy again, the machine and Wallace wave each other goodbye.
